Similarly, of all the Asian guys I know (admitted anecdotal evidence) but only two are dating/married to white women while 90% are with Asian women. Which makes sense to me given that I do in fact know some amount of Asian women who only date white men, but I’ve not really run across any Asian men who only date white women. Instead it is Asian women who aremore responsive to white men.

Yet we do not find that white men showparticular preference for Asian women. Our study suggests that the racial preferences of minor-ities are likely to be as consequential in generating the observed patterns. For example, gendered racial formation theory attributes the prevalenceof Asian women–white men pairing to white men’s preference toward ste-reotypically submissive women. Second, previous theories often presume that coupling patterns reflectwhite preferences. I haven’t seen any formal survey data but just from my own group of Asian friends, more than half are dating Asian guys.Īnyways, I think the most interesting part of the study was the conclusion:

Yes it does state based ok research that Asian women respond more favorably to white men than Asian men when dating online but I’m not sure that proves that those same Asian women wouldn’t date both white and Asian guys, nor that POC would be limited to 40%. Thanks for providing a source but I’m not sure where the paper actually shows “40% of Asian women will date a POC”?
